This is one on the more magnificent shots of a Great Blue Heron in flight I have ever seen. The detail and terrific color is evidence of a fantastic focus and camera technique. I never realized they had the reddish color on their wings. Excellent framing and ability to follow him in flight for this shot.

Very impressed first of all that you were able to get the shot, that it's a fantastic shot to boot, is bonus! I know how easily these birds are to "miss" by a second or two, good eye, and also what a great showcase for colour. national geographic should have this one.

Very unusual and pretty bird. He looks very cool in flight. I love his colors, this heron is always pretty. The color of the water and land is also very nice. Sharp photo well done.

Wow I don't Have any 6*, but this is a excellent stop action shot good initial impact, very nice framing and good clarity detail and framing great good exposure and beautiful color focus is razor sharp well done and good luck , - jairos

Looks like a Sange shot if I ever seen one. If it's not, it is a BIG, BIG, compliment. Great work I'm jealous. I just can't get a good capture of birds flying like this. Good luck, although there is no luck involved, just great techs.

Great image! Beautiful separation between the crane and the background. Almost 3-d like! Great camera technique - detail of the crane is excellent. And great composition. The background is blurred enough not to offer distractions. And you caught the crane either gliding in or in mid flap.
