Wow. I have never been there but I thought from every angel you see the Palace. Not so . This looks like the pearly gates of Heaven. Great angel you shot this from.

I Love the Gate, Love the ornaments, the color of it also. I don't love that it is not centered, or maybe filling the page all together. With out some sort of cloud formation or maybe blue sky behind it to give it more interest, it think it should fill the page.

    thanks for the half star more; may I suggest that you read the significance of the stars before writing stupid comments!
    if you look again, you can see that the gate is Perfectly centered! and as you maybe know, the sky is not always blue, especially in London!

    I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I truly Loved the gate.Maybe I needed to save and blow the picture up so I could see more of the detail.

This is a really nicely composed image. Those gates really stand out against the sky. My only thought here is whether you might get a little more detail in by bringing in a bit more light into the shows. Nice work though.

Ah, I've seen this a few times when I lived in England. Beautiful shot of this gate. Very good detail showing the coal of arms. I like the natural position of it in the frame but I am sure you will be told that it should straitened. Ah Blah, it's good the way it is.

Regards,
Robin.

    many thanks Robin;
    nbody told me to straighten, because it is perfectly vertical.....

    I think it is straight too. I had a picture simular too and got a lot of flak for it. Oh well no big deal.

Nice rendering of the centre part of these famous gates. Nice detail and composition. I think the subdued lighting has helped.

Fred,
A great picture of this elaborate gilded wrought Iron Gate topped off with the crowned Lion above the Royal Shield. Beautiful composition to show off the intricate Gilded Ironwork in the gate. Taken with superb camera techniques.
