A bird in the rain is worth two in the bush? Poor guy looks cold. Great capture - I love the rain drops. It tells the story of what's going on. Great composition and camera technique. Crisp details (focus) and beautiful background (depth of field). Great image! -john

Was not cold, just very dark and rainy. I was lucky with this one ... thanks!

great sharp image with good detail. Particularly like the way the light has caught the eye this gives the subject energy. Blurred background enhances the overall impact of the image. Well done.

What a good shot in the rain. I am still awaiting the herons to return here, have not seen any since last fall. A nice clean background, good focus and frame (maybe a bit close on the crop) but still tells your story well.

Awesome detail even down to the raindrops. Magnificent color balance. Love the expression and the color in the eye. The wind had to be blowing a bit because you can see it in the feathers. Fantastic photo

I Can leave here knowing you will post birds that most never get to see. HOW CLEAN and SHARP this is! You have taken all I have taught you and you now OWN IT! The rain drops, the smooth green background, The eye clarity and the feather detail are ALL spot on! And OH YES look AT that EXPOSURE! And you remembered to UP your ISO because with your camera YOU CAN!

I owe it all to you and your patience Sange. You've stayed with me every step of the way and never faltered. You kept with me knowing that maybe something was wrong with camera. Turns out the camera is very capable and we now know the settings the camera is capable of. Again thanks to you and your undying vigilance of studying the camera I now have. Thanks my friend. I have found a perfect teacher and an even better friend. The BRAVO goes to you.
