What funny birds these were. Its a vulture..no a buzzard...no..lol
But of course a Guinea Hen!
Love the colors and the crazy design of spots and stripes on the bird.
Background is a wee bit distracting, but it is a fine shot despite that.
Bravo E!

Thanks Sange... I remember the argument about if this was a vulture or not :) But we walked away with great shots and an even nicer time with great friends. Lets do that again real soon!

WOw, is it always when we see something we never saw before and that is the case here - what a wonderful body design in blue stripes and pearly shapes and pattern - the royal red bandage on the head is very neat giving the face a special effect - the hair on the neck are just handsome and special - great capture of a very rare bird - great frame - perfect technical application - clear and sharp I details - a very nice presentation

Wow nicely done Eileen! You the queen of sharpness:) I thought It was just me but after looking at most of your last images ,a lot on this site are not very sharp!
And not because the photographer was after that effect!Or we blame Fars uploading?I posted an image upside down yesterday of a refection in a waterhole 2 out or 12 reviewers told me how clear it was with great Dof?LOL:) your bird here is sharp as a tack! Colors and framing all good! I may have gone for an F stop a bit smaller but less then F8? The background is almost flowing with the patterns on the bird.good job keep it up!

Eileen,
A great picture of the Guinea Fowl in profile I never realised some of their neck feathers were blue. Beautiful composition, lighting & framing. Taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
