Great initial impact. Composition - framing and angle are perfect. Camera technique is perfect - sharp detail (great focus) and nice background (perfect depth of field). Great image! -john

Composition/Balance: 6 I really like the way the bloom is mirrored in the blurred one behind. It creates such simple symmetry here but really makes an impact
Exposure/Lighting/Contrast: 4 I think there is too much shadow on the front of your main subject. I think some simple dodging here would really improve this a lot. The detail is there it just needs to be brought out.
Background/Isolation of key subject:5 Great dof
Saturation/Color Harmony: 5
Lines, texture, pattern: 5 Great pattern in that compound flower
Overall Interest: 5

Very attractive flower. Looks to me as though the petals have dropped off and the centre is what is left. Some flowers do have centres which look like flowers in their own right. The green pieces sticking out all around the flower would have supported the now no longer evident petals. Like the doubt take with a nicely blurred background in colours that compliment the whole shot. Very well framed with very good focus. A little dark though on the subject.

The perfect way to take this with the DOF work throwing out that background this making the detail and definitions of that flower pop out!
