What a gorgeous image and what an education to boot! You are so fortunate to live where you do. I love the colors and sharpness to this image and it is cropped in creatively to match the description of what you wrote in your notes. Leaving to much around this one would distract from what you are portraying.

Fabulous Eileen!

All the world Bitterns are very shy the Bittern we have here in England is very elusive and not often photographed so seeing this you have dove very well just to see one let alone get a shot of it.

Fabulous detail, I love the colours and how it stands out from the greens of the foliage.

Wow, this is an outstanding bird with a very beautiful body design, seems to have different habits too as other have - your shot is handsome and so brilliant in colors and contrast - amazing how the different greens are standing out one by one - very nice frame - perfect angle and close up image - perfect focus, clear and sharp - very nice shot

Outstanding capture of the Female Least Bittern Adult E! What a great shot! Was sorry you did not get to see the two juveniles and their father. But was happy you got to see this pretty lady. She is actually much smaller in person than your shot shows her. You did so well with pin sharp focus, colors, details and lighting.
Bravo! Well done! So proud of you!
