Stunning capture of Swan Boy, the dark background contrasting sharply with the light on his back and the curve of the neck. Very moody. Nice reflection of light off the ripples in the water. Thank you for sharing.

A graceful moody image which given your notes makes me so sad for his loss and all those little swan's never to be born.
I very much like the light grazing the water and the sparkle around his beak as he drinks. A very emotional special piece of work Eileen. Out of my 6's or I would certainly give you one.

Eilleen, i appreciate many images I see on FAR, but very few touch me emotionally as much as your's has. As another member once said to me, It is when your image touches someone's heart that you know you have succeeded.
Thank you for your very gracious and warm reply. Bren

EMOTIVE! Normally I would take off because of the lighting not being enough. BUT I was there and I feel the soft lighting works here. You can still see his bill in the water, his eye and there is enough details to deem this OK!
Care not what anyone else tells you. You captured the mood here and it is a sad Swan Boy.... Sigh..
Well done!

The moodiness of this one really gets to me and feel it fits him perfectly knowing his situation. Thanks Sange, hope he is in better spirits tomorrow.

I like the composition. Have a resident pair of swans on the canal which runs outside my front door, so am lucky since I can take shots of them most of the time! Like the perspective showing profile of the head and neck, especially since the swan has his bill in the water. For me though this shot is way too dark. Very difficult to see what is going on without really peering into the image. Easy to lighten.

To me the darkness is the mood. Sad swan at the end of a long day. But I really appreciate your comments.

Lovely interplay of light and shadow! This is a beautiful shot of the bird. You have timed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!
