Hi Supergold, and we can see why Claude spent all his time painting this garden over and over. What a beautiful place. Wish I could be standing on the bridge admiring the scene. Thanks for sharing this awesome image. Foreground is perfect and frames the subeject nicely. :) PD

Lovely photograph with lots of color, good clarity and positioning. My parents were lucky enough to visit Paris last year and were actually only inches away from original Monet paintings as well as all the other greats. At least I can say I have seen a photograph of his garden. Lovely shot.

This is a wonderful photograph of such an iconic location. I'm very much hoping to go there myself within the next month or so as I love Impressionist art. The exposure, colours, and composition are excellent.
I note that you apologised for the people on the bridge. There are two good ways of getting rid of them. The first is to take several images from exactly the same spot at different times and when people are in different positions on the bridge. You can then superimpose them in photo shop and simply paint out the people (I hope this makes sense). The second way is to clone them out in photo shop which is a little more complicated but, looking at your image, quite doable.

That is a very good picture. How is the lighting at night? I think a nighttime photo would be even prettier. I'm crazy about night art.

thanks; glad that you read yesterday about star rating;
so, what is wrong with this pic ?

The only thing wrong is like you said, the tourists. If there were models on the bridge, perhaps dressed in Chinese costumes, it would look even better.

I really like the compositional elements and the angle you took the photo at ( all but the people).
As I am looking at the image and the colors of the various plants, every visually appealing in that regard. I do think however that the DOF/Focus is slight off, nothing with the image looks crisp, and in clean focus.
I think it would be great reference photo for an artist to do a painting from.

Beautiful landscape with bridge and reflection of trees on the still pool water. I love the colourful bridge and violet flowers in the background. Large tree trunk in the foreground captured nicely.

Just put up some danger signs at each end of the bridge Fred and then you can get the shot! ha A beautiful photo and I'm sure these gardens do get lots of visitors. He painted a lot of scenes from this garden and since he is a very famous artist the visitor would flock there. Like how you used the tree on the right to frame this view of the bridge and the gorgeous gardens. Excellent photo and a wonderful place to visit I'm sure.

This shot looks like paradise - this angle is very special as the tree is hanging down creating a special effect in the frame from the ground same green plants are standing up until the bridge creating a special effect - the two people on the bridge are more than perfect as it shows us that there is human life - they look like Adam and Eve - amazing image, very beautiful in all details - the tree trunk also shows us the beauty of time, the river that the water is important in life and then bridge is a sign to bring the past and the future together - handsome shot
