Very good natural history shot of these herons waiting to fly - good composition - good lighting and very fine detail.

this has a nice feel to it. sort of 3d or hd. the herons are pretty and alert looking the front facing one looks to be wearing a head rag. lol like a pirate. so cute.

Another great shot, Eileen. I love the symmetry of this one. Great DOF and excellent focus on the herons. Nice cropping and framing. I can see why you and Sange are fascinated by these birds. Taylor

Thanks Taylor. We are most captivated by them and try to see them weekly to see how they are doing.

Yes it is. Good capture of the three. I don't think I've ever seen a head on of the heron like the one in center. A strange looking bird from that angle. Excellent detail and clarity. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much JB, I usually will not post a bird head on like this, but with the other two going both different directions, I thought it worked well here.. Thanks so much for the review and rating. It is much appreciated!

Amazing capture - great composition, great artistic changess as your result moving parts out is handsome - finding these three in that position is like a gift and very unusual - the amazing part is the color of the branches they are standing on as they have the same color as their bodies sticking out from the green of the environment - the blue sky is a nice add bringing clarity into the image - the bush is just the perfect protection for them - great momentum- handsome image, special effects- well done

Great looking shot! Coincidentally all three birds are with right angle to each other!:) Great timing! The colours, sharpness and the overall composition have come out well. Thanks for sharing!

I could not believe my good fortune to get this. Of course I was there for quite a while. :) Was bound to happen some time. Thanks!

I know how difficult, getting a clear view of a nest is. Then to get all three subjects in a perfect pose. The frame, detail and colors are brilliant.

You should rightly be proud of this image, the texture is very Sharpe and the 3 birds did what hey was told standing in the right spot for the shot! Very well done!

l.o.l. There's my babies, holy crap never knew they got this big!! The composition of this image almost looks like you asked them to ham it up for the camera! Your timing is superb the focus pin sharp and the vibrant colors of the wetlands in full bloom. So glad these babies made it and hope they continue till they can fly off and be on their own. l.o.l. Can't get over the poses, not to mention the looooooong necks! Excellent shooting Eileen!

I love the composition these herons make with their positioning. You snapped them at just the right moment. Very nice. The tropical foliage in the background is great too. Very nice.
