Oh my! I knew exactly who he was when I saw him. Amazing shot to catch. Love the diagonals of his beak and perch. Lovely framing with the green leaves.

What a sweet baby Heron. Nice framing and contrast. I love the clarity of the markings on his feathers . He will be a beauty when he grows up!

Wonderful story!
I envy that you are able to capture unique and special photos of different birds. This one is priceless. Great color.. wonderful placement in the frame. Clearly focused. Thank you for sharing! Oh.. I am being educated as I see a different bird each time. Found out that they Sometimes drop food, insects, or other small objects on the water's surface to attract fish, making them one of the few known tool-using species. This feeding method has led some to title the green and closely related Striated Heron as among the world's most intelligent birds They are able to hover briefly to catch prey.[ per Wikipedia

    you are very welcome!
I think one of the reasons I miss so much in nature is because I refuse to get up with the sun ..and stay up way past the sunset..
