really excellent drawing and this mythical figure, seem to have kept her mystique, over the ancient and into the modern times. the story you tell is fascinating to and the way it captured your imagination as a child (riveting stuff indeed). both deserving of a six rating. the picture has a lovely design quality.

Soft and pretty face. The snakes are rendered nicely. I like the lovely pastel colors. I'd love to see the painting when it's done. Cool looking image I think done well.

I do like the composition here, Cleo and the story of course, is a classic and always so interesting to revisit. I particularly like the snake on the top of her head. I am wondering how you are going to treat the background to this piece. I imagine it will make a fine finished work! jean

Medusa had hair made of snakes but this looks like a turban. In a way, that just presents awhole new scenario. Like instead of raptor, she is victim...she represents the human race being strangled by its appetites!

The background will be done in shades of blue, green and cyan to symbolize water.

What an interesting contrast between those agressive looking snakes and the soft, rather sad features of Medusa. The detail in the snakes themselves is excellent. I imagine that a full colour version will be quite something. And I'm sorry to hear that your husband's illness continues.

I really like this, the shape of the snake twisting around her head, it's so completely part of her. The red of the snakes eyes really pierce you when you look at it. I think it's a really wonderful pencil drawing and would love to see this transferred to canvas, it's excellent.
