Love the story and explaination of the art work. Good vision and use of limited materials but keep going as your art has depth and presentation. Good angle allowing the snakes to stand out
Thanks for sharing

Well done and good luck finishing this. It would be great to see it when its finally done as I can't really appreciate it much at the moment and cant wait for the final transformation. All the best! R

There is a wonderful sculpture..I think it is called "the rape of Medusa" she is lovely! I promised yiou I would not do a Medussa, so can I now? LOL! I like this, she looks so sad, and hurt..as well she should, thise old gods were simply NOT nice guys! i think you captured the feel very well. I persinally have always felt she was unfairly ounished. Donkeyoatey

Sure you can now!!! You have to catch up. I am two Medusas ahead if you count my Medusas Hair . You should not have stuck to your promise. That request was not eternal, but short time. My failure if I need so long! I do feel, she was unfairly punished, even murdered, while she was pregnant with twins by Poseidon.
I tried to show the fierce snakes as her protectors against murderous intruders, but even the snakes could not save her. I am thinking about if her spirit was reborn in her beautiful sons and how I cold show that. I have some ideas.
Thank you for your review and fully understanding of my picture and your tip about the sculpture. I will check on it. ~Cleo

I found The Temptation of Medusa and The Beheading, but no rape by bt Design Toscano. I guess it must be the Temptation you mean. It's a lovely Medusa indeed. Vallejo has lots of Medusa. I find especially one older painting from the 90's[?] interesting. Perseus i in victory pose in the background. He holds [strangulates] all the snakes but one, in his left hand hand. Medusa is in the foreground with a bath towel around her head and a very small, but vicious looking snake in her hand. That snakes seems ready to strike, but who? Now that is rewriting Greek Mythology, but a story, which tickles the imagination. Does it?

Sorry, yes, it was the temptation, isn't it lovely? Vallejo's work is amazing! He is a true inspiration! donkeyoatey

Cleo, I think this is perfect just as it is.
I love the pastel colors.
I love the beautiful face with such soft gentle eyes.
Her beauty makes the snakes appear harmless, full of empty threats.
I enjoyed your knowledgable and extensive notes.
It seems like ages since I have seen any of your work yet they are telling me that I can not give you a 6,
Big disappointment since that would at least put you on the front page for a day.
