I agree with you. Humans are cruel and kill other species for fun! And call it sports! This is a great looking shot of the black rhino! Well done!

Wonderful detail and texture of this massive creature. Excellent focus, clarity and composition. I like the vignette which helps hold the frame together. Thanks for sharing.

This was taken at zoo Miami. Cageless and with the right lens (55-300) it looks a lot closer than it was. But you can see them very well. Thanks so much Trish for the great review!

He looks like a sort of sad rhino to me. But they often do, since they are so baggy and keep their massive heads down much if the time.

Yes. I imagine they would prefer to be free. And I can't blame them. But they are well taken care of. Thanks so much!

Perfect focus, nice light, very pleasing composition. Does the title refer to the fact that you show both aspects here? Excellent initial impact. cainse

What a fabulous photo Eileen and the clarity is just superb!

The tones and the light really emphasizes the muscular features of the Rhino and the DOF work with the background is beautifully done, love that title by the way!

Yes, horrible to kill them. I so believe that God displays his original animals to us in a reduced form, so that Adam and Eve could manage them. I love that name Rhino! Anyways, once again you have mastered this animal in presenting, colors, details and awesome position and that face is screaming cute! Many thanks for your beautiful animals for all of us to admire!
