Very interesting piece. Somehow I see this as being part of a series of zoo animals that could be part of a children's book. The black makes me think of a chalk board. Nice, different experiment.

How sweet Eileen and the techs to create the cartoon grass, great idea! the giraffes are soo lovey, truly look like friends that are familiar with each other! The dark b.g. is perfect to make the giraffes the center of your composition! Awesome work and shooting Eileen!

A sweet edit to these two giraffes. I love the pose. I think since you have made the grass cartoon like you should add some cartoon hearts to it as well! :) Just an idea. Love the moment...so tender.

A very special presentation again - you found your individual style - a very nice composition between art and photography - different and new - true life and painting - your original shot is very special too as you got the perfect timing where one just looks over the other one nearly merging together into one being - perfect artistic arrangements and technique - very nice ( I have to admit that I do not like too much black in general and would have preferred a dark blue, but that is just a personal issue, that is off criteria for your perfect job)- well done

I love it. this make a wonderful postcard. I have been to two large zoos recently in two different countries and have loads of giraffe photos. this is how they look at you. As an artist I don't find the grass kiddie drawn. I love it exactly as you have done it. I hope you are going to do something with this. Sandy

Wow, this is quite a review Sandy! thanks for loving what I have done. I like it too but you never know how people will react. :) Maybe I will reach out to the local zoo here where I took this. You just never know :)

As they say if you never never go you will never know. I was going to go to our local tourist information centre but they came to me and now I have my drink coasters, bookmarks, cards, and prints now being accepted. Waiting to place the first order. sandy

The pose and capture of the giraffes is wonderful. It has caught what appears to be real affection between them. I would like to see a full screen version of this because on my monitor there seems to be some fringing around the edges of the animals as if the selection is not clean. I am going to say the grass creation doesn't work for me. Beautiful detail in the animals. PM on it's way.

I don't see the fringing, but all computers are different. Could very well be there. Thanks so much for this review and your comments Andy. I work with each one to better myself :)
