This is absolutely gorgeous. I like the BW effect with the colored beak. I like the vignette and the fluffy cloud in the background. The picture looks dramatic and mysterious.

Swan boy is being coy! I love the editing you did on this. So lovely with a natural vignette. Looks very dramatic like he is on stage taking a bow.

Stellar work, Eileen, when this popped up in the view, I thought it a drawing! WOnderful job with the tonal gradation-superior light and dark play. THe beak is so well defined as are the feathers and the color of the beak is perfect. I think the vignette adds to the shot, wonderfully artistic eye to capture this pose and angle. Just lovely-wish I had a 6 for you! jean

Not big on the vignette and believe that it is a bit over blown. But then, I hate vignettes in general - hey, we all have to have some biases. But also, does not impact the rating.
Like the monochrome with the beak providing th spark of color that ignites the image. Dark brooding tones with the bit of light white appearing as an inner glow.
Nicely composed and all of that technical nonsense.
Extends beyond a photograph to an expression of life. Would look wonderful as a large print.
Sorry but I over spent and have now been placed on a budget although you deserve more.

Aw Charles, you always know the right things to say and the right words to use. I am always pleased when you like one of my images this much. As you know, I ALWAYS take risks with my images. :) That is just what makes me, me. And thanks for the suggestion... I think I will blow this one up!
