Beautiful image. Great composition/framing/lighting/camera technique. Great angle, nice detail. And while he's caged, he does look happy. Is this the one that was injured several months ago? -john

wow, thanks so much John. I'm not sure when he was injured, and I am not sure how long he has been there. But if he does heal right, he will be released back into the wild. Thanks again!

A beautifully detailed capture. The clarity and depth of the tones in the feathers are simply gorgeous. There is also a great sadness portrayed in those eyes. It's as if it realises it's fate and knows that it will never fly free again. The exposure and technical bits are executed with great camera skill. Wonderfully captured.

Mankind's inhuman treatment to birds and animals is appalling! Not for nothing Mother Nature hits back with vengeance! This owl has such a sad look! You have taken the shot very it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Thanks for sharing!

It is sad that he is caged, but it is great that there is a place that takes care if them, and uses them to teach children about nature. I like the pose, the gleam in his eye (almost like a tear) and the darkness..perfect for the emotion! Donkeyoatey

I love this photo so much Eileen and I wanted to give you a 6 on this one. Those very sweet and gorgeous eyes you have captured so well and the title is touching. I love the earthy tones to the photo and the exposure and lighting is gorgeous. His feathers looks so soft and beautiful but still excellent clarity! Focus is dead on. One of my fav's.

Wow! Wise owl and a wise photographer knowing what will make a great shot. Your artistic flare with software adds a great dimension to the photo. Colors are fully developed and gives great dimension to the shot. Very nice.
