I waited to go shopping today on FAR for the best images, and this is my Favorite of all the Italy scenes, so far. It just ticks me off when I can't give an image that I love a six. Enough ranting, I really think this is one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in Italy. It was still light enough to capture the essence of the evening coming to a close. Yet dark enough to get the lights and reflections of them. You scouted out a perfect spot for this image to elude it's romantic flare. :)PD

Impact 6. Makes me want to cry its is so romantic at night. Technical 6 technique 6, color 6, lighing 6. Love the reflections in the water and yet there is still skylight above the hills. Very lovely. I would love to have this picture.

Oh thank goodness, the thumbnail was a mess. I'm so glad to see it like this. No wonder everyone likes this one. Very cool with all of the lighting on the buildings. I've never seen anything quite like this. It's really beautiful. Gorgeous reflections as well. Lots of color, very nice.

Excellent lighting brightly captured in its colorful setting outlining the walls and posts of Portofino harbor.
The reflections are just as dramatic.
However, as with any night shot, focusing here is a little bit soft and I know only an expert artist-photographer like supergold knows how to improve this composition.

This composition works both as a photograph and a painting which is just as well since the softness of the photo together with the dusk lighting give it a painting appearance. Normally I would not be keen but here it works
