I love your "gun"! The vignette really makes this beautiful creature pop...The details in the center are sharp and well focused. Looks like a painting
or a scene out of Disney.

A scope would have a clearly demarked circle with some sort of cross hairs. Other error, no respectful hunter would consider shooting a fawn.

As said, I have deer hunted but after getting the sight picture, just watched and never moved my finger to the trigger. I have no desire to shoot a deer.

Thant said, although a cute fawn, am not enamored with the heavy vignette. Deer is sharp but as above find that the vignette does not accomplish the intended purpose and does not work well as an artistic filter.

Since this is an african antelope or deer, (whatever they are called) they seem to always be in someones sites. I'm glad of the hunters here who would do it right by not harming the babies. Glad you did what you did. You are to be commended for that. I know you don't like the vignettes... :) sorry about that.

Wow gorgeous! I have a couple pics of deer but will not post them. I can't seem to get the exposure right. Probably the time of day that I see them. The is awesome. The clarity, color and exposure is perfectO. Really like the vignette as it draws you into the deer. I don't know why but I did not expect to see a deer, you sneaked one in there. LOL. Really nice photo.

LOL she is an african deer at the zoo. Thanks Carey!

I had to look at the doe carefully because at first it looked to me like its ribs were sticking out. On second look I see it has white stripes in its fur. Since it's in a zoo it can't possibly be underfed.
The post processing of the shot is interesting because the dark vignetting does tend to make one focus on the animal. I just think it might be a touch too dark but that's a matter of taste and might look lighter on some screens than others anyway.

Yes, I agree, at home it looks fine, when I check at work, it is dark. LOL oh well. But thanks so much for this review, I really appreciate it.

LOL only you would think of that donkey. To me, that would have been carrying it a bit too far, no pun intended :) Thanks so much for your review!

yes. I agree with you. Only humans are hunt for pleasure! It is better to shoot with camera! This is a beautiful shot of the doe. You have timed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

I agree with you. I love the animals, especially the babies. I love the image of the doe under the arbor, very sweet. Well done.

this was done by vignette... thanks Mara.

Me too, my gun is my camera. Grandfather used to take me hunting many years ago. I do not think I could kill an animal now (unless it was the only food for survival). Like your low angle, good frame and focus. The vignette works to center the subject, however, just me, a bit to dark.
