Well, the mother wants to fly to see where is dad now. They're really hungry-- their hairs stand up and their eyes are popping out!
Nice natural setting and a zoomed close up. How come the depth of field is not so shallow?
The green leaves are so cool & fresh!
Great inclusion of the twig nest.

The chicks look to me like they are having a bad hair day. It reminds me of the movie young Einstein with his hair sticking up due to the electricity in it.
All that fluff is cute. It is amazing how much it smooths out when they are grown.
The photo is excellent.

I wish I had more stars to give you Eileen. This is such a great picture. I've never seen Egret chicks. These are so cute in their gawkiness. Mom looks distracted. "will somebody help me with these kids?" I love your notes. cainse

Eileen, this is a fantastic shot and the image should be on the cover of a magazine. The composition with the mother and the little ones against the green foliage is terrific. The contrast is amazing between the texture of the mother and the babies. A great photograph with excellent clarity.
