Super nice up close details of the eye! You have captured all the subtle shadings very well! People in Florida used to keep pea hens and cocks, to keep down snakes..they eat them! This is an awesome and different quite creative presentation! DonkeyOatey

Thanks so much!

Have always found it interesting in that it is about only in humans that the female is the one that is considered to be the most beautiful.
Well executed, good interest, nice composition. The pp worked well to refine the features.

The eyes are the window of her soul but does her mate knows that she's cockeyed. Accordingly, the attractive contestants in any beauty pageants are slightly cockeyed --not obvious.
I appreciate the ultra macro shot you captured. Is she too tame?
Well, this is impressive.
Thanks for sharing.

Initial impact: WOW what a handsome capture of simply " an eye" but how beautifully this eye is in textures and shapes only becomes visible through your picture - a very special angle and macro image showing us perfectly all the details of the tiny feathers coming out of each pore - the color design around the eye ball is amazing - the way you framed this eye is excellent as the brown tones are running diagonal through your image creating a spiral effect around the eyes- great idea - super contrast and exposure, perfect lighting - amazing presentation -- your modification brought all details out in perfection - super shot, super job

Thanks so much Regina!

Very interesting. I love close-ups like this. Even with the close cropping, it's obvious that you captured fine detail in the feathers. What lense did you use?
