I really, really like the closup angle and all the wonderful feather detasils! The feel is wonderfully calm. You have captured the water drops perfectly. I would be very sad to see people throwing things..how ignorant are they? I think that if you would bring out his eye just a wee bit more, it would be even more dramatic. Donkeyoatey

Gorgeous shot of a swan. See these most days as their is a resident pair on the canal which runs outside my front door. They preen for ages. Often stood and watched for hours at a time. Focus is very sharp and black background certainly enhances the whole image. Lighting is very good too.

These swan shots are always so impressive, Eileen. Although this is not my favorite of those, your expertise for composition and detail shine through. Great job.

Excellent design and detail here. Has an abstract quality. Good lighting and shadows. Love the little patch of orange added color to the image. Good composition. Thanks for sharing.

Tremendously vivid clarity in the detail in this shot Eileen. You have a wonderful focus picking up the water droplets and each hair like feather as his neck cranes around. Beautifully shot against the darkness of the water.

Such a beautiful shot of this really special bird!

A swan always reminds me of the story of the Ugly Duckling!

Love the composition, white balance, sharpness and focus and DOF!

Thanks for sharing!

This is a beautiful close-up shot of the bird. You have timed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

I love the way he seems to be posing just for you. Really great clarity showing his short feathers on his neck and the soft feathers f his body. Great contrast of him against the black. Very nice shot.
