This is a lovely piece of art. I must admit, however, I am not an expert reviewing or understanding digital art digital painting...but I know what is appealing to look at, and this work "fits the bill!" I love the muted colored background and the implied marshy area. This work has such an atmoshphere that is implied which allows the viewer to be visually and mentally transported to this wetland area. Stunning work!

One of my favourite birds,The Heron,in fact I am currently painting one myself in oils. Many a time have I sat and watched the Heron waiting for its next move which at times can take ages, but patience is a virtue..Your digital painting of the Heron is indeed very well composed and structured and I particularly enjoy the scenery that you have created with a beautiful palette of colours and you have captured that wonderful flight motion that the Heron gives us every time he takes off.

The cranes fly with their necks outstretched, but herons do not. A very nice image; the setting is attractive and the colors are very attractive.

It's a really nice artwork
I love the colors you chose. They appear really deep and rich. Great job on the heron. Scale looks awesome. I really like the softness of your technique! Well done!

Cleo, I simply love this piece!
I feel I am back at my beloved wetlands once again.
Your colors and techs used are simply gorgeous.
I love the flight of this magnificent bird flying over what seems to be a great open area such as the wetlands.
Wonderful work.

A very good nature painting presented here! Your fine composition, seems to me, to represent, a hungry heron searching the land below for food. Like the lovely wing display and yellow eye. Well created!

It's an interesting Digitally rendered picture,Cleo!
The bird has a nice 'Pterosaurian' kind of a look to it that pleases this Paleontology enthusiast very much! : )

This is a beautiful scene you have digitally painted,
I love the position of the heron in the scene and it's in flight pose as well , this allows a good look at the large wing span. I appreciate the detail in the herons face and bill and the nice clear eye. Beautiful white body and wings that are tipped in grey. Nice show of the wetlands that he is flying over, well chosen and applied colors. The scene is well arranged the lighting is beautiful . Well presented!

I like the various components within the painting.
The colors are good in the majority of the painting, I say that because the water needs to be less turquoise in color and need to be more blue with less greens in it. I think that will bring a better color harmony to the entire image.
I would also consider add a few more definitive lines to better define the wings, I think that would help accentuate the bird a little better from the negative space.
Thank you for sharing and allowing me to comment on your painting.
Have good day.
Cheers.

Thank you very much for your through and helpful review.
You are right. This is an old painting and not a flawless piece indeed.
I am planning another painting of the Wetlands and hope to do better. I sure will remember your advice. :o)
