Very creative work, with great notes informative. Reminds me a pterodactyl. Good rule of the thirds. Amazing details, color, and nice contrasts. Great shading, nice illumination and excellent textures. Well done.

Very attractive picture. I love the warm colors used. The green and hints of orange remind me of fall. I like the angle of the bird as well. Nice contrast of the dominant white and gray wings. A light orange beak and piercing yellow eyes, flying over deep blue water with hints of green. A pleasure to view. Thanks for sharing.

I really think the composition itself is very well done. The colors are soft and expressive which was your intent from the description. From the way it looks on the computer, the heron wing on the right gets lost in the background to me a bit too much and throws off my view of it. Very fine effort regardless.

A beautiful painting. I live near wetlands which support lots of birds. In late autumn hundreds of swans from Russia fly in. Your scenery looks very much like the wetlands I visit from time to time. I can just imagine this bird coming to land on the water below. Like your composition and colours. The bird is very well detailed. Good Luck in the contest.

I know this is a blind contest, but it has a 'cleo' touch and I say no more! WOnderful pose, the white against the dark background really pushes the bird out towards the viewer.You have captured the movement of the heron in this digital work as I see these often and I get the 'feel' of the heron in flight. Lovely contest entry! Jean
