Very nice colored drawing. Chalks were never my thing, just couldn't get the hang of not laying my hand across part of what I was working on and smearing it. And I must say that you definitely got the hang of it. I love the detail of the fur and those huge blue eyes. You have done a great job with the shading and shadowing. The shape, size and dimensions all are very accurate. And I really like the way you lined the basket in pink. The nose and mouth area are very realistic looking as well. I think you did an great job on this one. Beautiful.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I usually lay a piece of kitchen roll over the bottom half of the picture to avoid smudging and also keep spraying with hair spray or proper fixing spray in between layers. Suzanne

You are very welcome for the review and the advice on working with chalk. But I went on and painted for years before some things happened and I just stopped. Now it's been quite a while since I picked up a brush. I do the occasional commissioned painting but that's about it. I love the photography more, so I'll more than likely always stay with it.

You amaze me, this is beautiful,is there anything you
can not draw. Your skill level with all art mediums is brilliant. Love it, looks like she/he knows they are beautiful.

Very pretty kitten. I don't know what a ragdoll cat is. She looks like a siamese. Beautiful markings, nice pastel strokes. She looks so soft. Fantastic blue eyes. She looks cute in the basket. Very nice drawing!

Many thanks for your lovely review. Ragdolls do have similar markings to Siamese but have longer fur and are very floppy when you pick them up - totally relaxed - so that's why they'e called ragdolls. I'm glad you like Casper. Suzanne

Amazing reflections in the eyes! Great texture and beautiful color, I love his little pink nose and the fluff of his white skin. Nice pose and facial expression. I like the texture of the basket. Well done.

Suzanne, this is a terrific chalk pastel of this ragdoll kitten. The color of the kitten emphasizes the brilliant color of the eyes, and the softness you have put into the piece keeps me patting my computer screen.

Very cute expression, and I love this one as it brings memories of a white haired, blue eyed kitty I used to love.

Not heard of this type of cat before now. Very pretty and looks a bit like a Persian but not so hairy. I like the softness of this work which is obviously due to the soft chalk pastels. I do like the effect of these.

Thank you so much for your great review. Ragdolls are of a similar colour to Siamese but have longer fur and they flop, totally relaxed, when you pick them up - hence ragdoll! Suzanne

A really lovely pastel piece with a personality plus! Love the choice of the blue background to go with those eyes. Nice pose with the paw hanging over ready to touch all who go by.
