Lovely shot of the beautiful swan. I like the angle you used for this with the swan looking down at his reflection in the rippling blue water. Lighting and focus very good showing great detail. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Swans are beautiful birds. I see them regularly since a pair lives on the canal running past my home. You have framed the shot very well and focus looks fine. However, I do feel you have over saturated the colours which makes the bird but particularly the water look unnatural. I do like this approach on some subjects but it does not work on all. You have not provided any notes so guessing you used software to alter the vibrancy of the colours. I prefer wildlife to look natural.

I do very little editing to my photos as I'm 95% traditional. However to me, my swan looked not sharp in focus. In addition to my standard brightening, contrast, fill flash, I also did boost up the vibrancy. I'm big into printing on Metallic paper, and want my details to pop out.

Beautiful deep blue water. Great lighting and reflections shown. Love the red beak on the swan against the water. I like photos that can be flipped upside down because of the reflection. Really nice shot.
