A beautiful pink rose bud, the black b/g really makes it pop and the textures and dof are fabulous as is the composition. It is very hard to loose a loved one, but I honestly believe with all my heart in the after life and we will be reunited, I hope this brings some comfort to:)

Thanks for sharing the story and the photograph. Love the deep dark background and the rich color of the flower. Not much depth of focus, and the softness in the center of the image takes away from my interest.

A very nice fitting capture as a tribute to your loved one. However, for me personally, given that it fills the frame, it is a tad soft but nicely framed and good background.
