Very, very well done. You have mastered the art of dot art! The snow is swirling, the bison have detail and you have lighting effects. Excellent! Very well done and good luck in the contest. Love it!

    genedigger,

Thank you for your high praise, time and your favorable comments on my drawing and high rating, you support is appreciate. To me creating all the things you said the drawing brings to mind is the challenge of doing the art using this technique and what makes it fun and rewarding when it works.
    Have great day, cheers!!!

Your use of pointillism is exceptional. Very well done. Is this done in colored pencil? Whatever the medium is, you used it exceptionally well to evoke the freezing temperatures these poor bison are enduring. The ice crystals clinging to their fur are a very nice touch.

    bhart,

this is done with artist markers using the pointillism technique, the apply of each dot by hand to eventually create the image you see.

I think with any media and technique used, the challenge is to try and capture reality, I am pleased to hear you think I accomplished that with this impressionistic technique used in creating this drawing.

Thank you for having taken the time to look and then leaving me your thoughts on my artwork, it is truly appreciated.
    Have great day, Cheers !!!

Lucien,
A beautiful picture of this pair of mighty American Basin snow clinging to their shaggy winter coats, the blue & white background that appears to be heavy with snow makes me shiver. A picture created with skill point by point using an artist's eye for colour & it's application that brings these beasts to life on the page.

You have certainly mastered the skills required to create such a beautiful piece using a very difficult style. I think you have nailed the cold winter feel surrounding these beautifully crafted beasts. Kudos for your gifts. Thank you for your sharing them with us. JAKE

I live in Bison country and have a lot of pics of buffalo's. I love this one! It is so good and I really love our colors. I can't believer you do this with dots of ink. Fantastic!

Great image of these mighty beasts in the midst of winter. T,he limited use of colour mainly blue and white, create a cool, frosty feel while the pointillist dots increase the effect of falling snow. I like pointillism at the best of times but here it works on another level. Great job.

Very nice work with excellent composition. When I look at it I feel this stormy weather with my skin. I feel cold and snowstorm. I see bisons slowly dragging themselves along meadows covered with snow. I like delicate color variations from yellow and orange of bison's skin to blue and white of snow around. Very good impact.

I like the colors chosen here and the outline of what looks like Xmas trees in the background is a nice touch. It does look as if one of the bison has five legs though. I know the fifth leg probably belongs to the other bison - but it does look a little off.

    Cherise Foster,

I think with any media and technique used the challenge is to try and capture reality, I am pleased to hear you think I accomplished that with this drawing. No, think your assessment of the legs is wrong, each definitely belongs to a different animal.
