As usual you have done another great image and a great honor to Doris who I agree with you has been undervalued. Thanks for being you and standing up and saying it as it is. Good job.

Cool! Yes, Doris's posts always make me smile for hers is a joyful and happy heart which comes across in her art.

Like the characters you have placed including the bawling baby.

Always colourful, the sun in it's youthful state peeking in. There is a good balance and flow to this art Mark and I like how the eye is taken into the center through subtle yet effective framing of Doris surrounded by her characters.

The mood creation is really good . It fits her personality well. She is very fun loving person and that is what showing here. However, I believe that she is more to an illustrator. Even in her cartoon works, I see the strong illustration lead.

We may be talking about same thing by different words. Thank you for sharing.

It seems, me too misunderstand her. Worse I have her often mostly neglected, because I do not review, what I do not understand. I was really bad in understanding cartoons. Couldn't find them funny. Never got that they act on impact. I was always looking for a deeper meaning. Comes from were I and how I got up. I never was great on cartoons or looked at funnies in the newspaper, because I just couldn't find anything funny in the newspapers. You and Corinna changed my mind somewhat, but I still have to learn to look at all cartoons here.
I need really have to have another look! Thanks for kicking my xxxxx [excuse my French]

you tributes to the various artist on this site are well thought and have very funny angle to them. In this one, you have good flow and the only thing I would suggest is have the image she is a drawing, have more substance, like actually show a image, as she has drawn one or one that is representative of what she would draw. Other then that like what you did here.

ill tell ya 2 reason why i did what i did..1 the medium she has in her hand is a pencil..2nd i did the 4 sheets with an unrecognized upside down sketch from her multitudes of cartoons she is cranking..i guess u could say there isa lil me in this..ill sketch out 2 or 3 rough sketches so i dont forget the idea(age is a bitch) and then go back and finalize one..but ill admit did think about doing one one on that less than inch paper..thanks for the great review penmaster..wink

Well I'm sure Doris will feel as honoured as I was to be one of your victims! A great sense of fun here with the bright colours - I especially like the cat flat on it's back with laughter. Doris' art work has grown on me I must confess and I like her light-hearted style. A great tribute!

Oh, yes, a tribute to very original and most creative Doris! Definitely standing and clapping and giving her the applause she deserves. Great tribute image, with so much detail that is so typical of her expressions. her recent landscape work, I think, is just wonderful! Keep going - these tributes are truly fabulous! You yourself are always a very bright spot on the site!

Another great drawing with your great detail and color. As for Doris I couldn't agree with you more. She and I have become friends and from the very beginning I loved her art work. I think she's a great cartoonist. The thing I love about her work is it puts a smile on my face, she's very creative and comes up with the cutest ideas. I remember she did a drawing of a scene under water with fishes and she had the little red guy that looked like a lobster. OMG I thought it was the cutest and told Doris I really like the little red guy. Several drawings later she drew the little ready guy because I was so taken by him. I thought that was the cutest thing she could do for me :). I agree, art comes from the heart and her heart ozzzes cuteness. Thank you for honoring, Doris.
