Certainly does have blue tones! I do like the detail in the water as it rises and falls, that is caught perfectly! This has a fall feel, must be the lovely colors on the trees. Donkeyoatey

Hello Willie

Nice image. Good composition and I like the entry with that dark band at the bottom.

The autumn trees on the right side are not bright but they reach out and grab your eyes. Great colors.

The fountains are very nice and they really help to make the picture an exciting one.

All in all a really nice capture.

Roger

a Beatiful shot Willie. Great focus on the fountains and you hace caught the shooting water very well. We have a bluegrass festival here every summer too and I love that music.

Regards,
Robin.

Thank you so much! I like the music too but I get tired of it quick. The Bill Monroe home place it about 35 miles from here and they too have a festival each year. If you ever watch the Cumberland Highlanders show on the Rural TV channel, all that is filmed at his home place.

You are a lucky man to live in such a beautiful place, the fountains backed by the beautiful buildings, great photograph well done.

Hi Willie -

I have to keep reminding myself that you are after the postcard look. Post cards are typically more vibrant - that said, I think your nailing it. I love the way you have captured the water spray in this photo. I personally think your a little heavy on the blue (the top of the building even has a blue/purple cast). But they are looking good. By George, I think your getting there ;-)

A fun piece Willie! I'm a big lover of bluegrass. Ever hear of the Dillard's? Also known as the darling family from Andy Griffith series. Good friends of mine. Anyway your piece is fun, colorful and very unusual! Nice tonal effects.

Thank you so very much! I don't listen to bluegrass much so I'm not familiar with many groups. I do remember seeing the Darling family on Andy Griffith and like their sound a lot. I like bluegrass on occasion but I get tired of it after a while. I like southern gospel music the best and my favorite group is the Chuckwagon Gang. They come to Florida on occasion.

This is indeed a fantastic looking fountain, and when the columns of water are lined up like this also a very fine fountain to photograph. The top of them are standing out so well against the blue sky and it seems like every little drop is visible. This can only be done by a perfect stop action.

Your photo is also all over sharp, and as already pointed out, with clear and well defined details. I have also noticed that it is possible to see some reflections from the trees in the water. I think the exposure is perfect.

This might seem just like a small thing, but I would have cloned out what ever it is that is toughing the frame on the right down to the top of building. Nobody will even think it should have been something there even if the whole structure isn't taken out.

I think your POV was perfect. I also think the editing has worked really well and added depth. Very well taken photo Willie, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! The item you mentioned in the top right is a lamp post and I agree it would be better without it. I am glad your eyes have seen this. I will fix it before the judging! Thanks again for the review and comments.
