I have seen Charlie many time over the years. He even played in Lagrange. Back in the late 70's when Urban Cowboy was big. He played to the largest audience at the now gone Chicagofest. I was there with all the rowdies. Cheap beer, music and food right on our lake front. I like this. This reminds me of the legend of Robert Johnson Who sold his soul to the devil in Mississippi. Crossroads.

Well, I would love to know what a puritan such as Daniel Webster would have to say about your image - interesting to fantasize. Great colours and movement in this image. Almost follows the rule of three in its divisions of lines. Love that devil- really is getting into the music..the small green person seems hardly able to keep up with this devil. Love the details of the curtain and those terrific flames.

I like how music takes on new interpretations of old meanings, it refreshing, like ice tea. Well done dramatic post, we have a lot of emotion holed up in this print, the only way the Master of the Sharpie can do. Did you hear, I came back, snicker

I think my favorite stuff you do is the "old music" pieces.
This is just full of color, fine details and wonderful characters.

Well done as always.

A very special work due to the song - you realized the content very well and your image bursts of energy - the burning hell in many flames - great energy - super color choice, the pink still shows he only sings and unified with that kind of energy in the song - great detail work - perfect technique - the green clothing of the scene player brings a color ad that is perfect to have a balanced image , well done, all the best for the contest

I remember studying that in school..and learning about metaphor..People don't match wits much anymore..perhaps they are unarmed? LOL! What ever level this is viewed on, it is good, has all the feel of a challenge, and old Nick is looking right smart! Donkeyoatey

Mark, good one with nice detail and great color. Love this Charlie Daniel song. Very nicely done. I can feel the heat from the flames.
