All I can say is WOW! Again you have really got something very special with dogs. Nice shading and capture of shape. You can see some personality in this. A very nice job.

    Sassy Jane,

thank you for your time in looking and then writing your critique of my art work they are appreciated. This drawing again took me approximately 40 hours to complete. Most take a minimum of that amount of time and go up from there depending on size and complexity.

The challenge is turning the colors you see into grayscale tones that represents the colors and makes for a good floe of the form or shape and texture of the subject, the dog in this case and its fur, eyes, nose, etc.

Thank you again for your support of my artwork, hope to hear from you again on future postings of my work.
    Cheers!!!

I did not see the original, but believe this scan to be perfect.
I still admire your perfect technique of pointillism with masterly realistic detail and perfect shading; but mostly I admire your ability of giving life to the drawn subject, your ability of drawing emotion and expressions. This Doberman looks serious, intelligent, observing and almost philosophical.

An excellent and I presume time consuming piece of work. The muzzle seems to have a box like appearance but then again I dont know the dog. Well done!

    johnmyr,

The time it takes depends on the size of course, this one approximately 40 hours. To me the eyes are what captive you and hold you, if they are right the drawing seems to always work.

Thank you for your praise & support of my artwork. I am very pleased you liked and enjoyed my stipple drawing.
    Have great week,
    Cheers!

again, this one approximately 40 hours. To me if the eyes captures and holds the viewer, if they are correct the drawing seems to always work.

Another superbulous pointillism LVO! Love the high key background, the pose, and the details you managed on his eyes!
Lots of tedious points!
Impressive work!

I am so envious and amazed at this type painting. The patience you have must be great. It is a beautiful rendition of the animal, pointed ears, beautiful eyes and the darks and lights of his face and fur.
You have much talent.
Thank you for sharing

    chevy570,
Thank you for your support of my artwork. I am very pleased you liked and enjoyed my stipple drawing of the Doberman Pincher. The trick is how to make it look representative of the subject, by just using the dots of ink.
    Have great week,
    Cheers!
