green is soothing to the eyes. This composition has purified, simplistic forms, but abstracted. Your work is bold, strong and yet strangely soothing and calm.Overall a fine effort. Good luck in the contest!

Well it's a frolicking pheasant , having frolicking fun with its chum , the chubby faced chipmunk , it's not always pleasant being a pheasant , But today is play day and my aren't they having fun , ( my dad used to be a pheasant plucker , thou when he'd had a drink he could get quite nasty )

Very creative and artistic. Thought/provoking and allows for the imagination. I see a bird in the flower. I see a dog's face. I sure see a girl's face.

Thank you very much. You see right. The girl is a nature spirit. The bird is a phoenix. :-)

You are so right, ask and you will be given - great composition, the little face looks like a real fairy, LOL, your enhancement is perfectly done, very well integrated in the image, soft and flowing energy - the flash green shows she is a nature fairy - great shadow and light work, super details, well thought and executed, all the best for the contest

You have such a wonderful imagination and it always shows in your artwork and also through the reviews that you write. I love the brightness of the green in this offset by the bit of red and yellow. The first thing I noticed was what looks like it could be a fairy. I also thought there is a lovely continuity in the flow of the green. I believe that the red is a bird, the yellow a horse and they are parts of the green flower.
Sorry, my "fantasy" knowledge is not great so I can't say who they are. I can just say that this work is very deserving a six star rating. Best of Luck to you cleo~

Wow! Stars are raining on me. Thank you for your review and the wishes and the high rating. It means a lot to me that you like it.
You see everything right. You don't need to know anything about fantasy art. It is basically anything what is not reality. As usually. I am always outside the current favorite styles anyway.
She is indeed a nature fairy. The bird is a phoenix. The horse is a horse, maybe Pegasus. I had planned on a unicorn but the horn did disturb the harmony of the composition.

That's a great thing that stars are raining on you! I have the same program that you do your work on and I never use it. I don't know why. I sure hope you win because this is so beautiful :)

yes there are many types of spirit in the forest and these look to be of the rather pleasant variety. also the perception of children is much stronger and they can surely sense these earthly ones, moving (all) around. they seem very endearing and protective of anyone who sees them. also as guardians of mother nature, herself.

Thank you very much! They are indeed friendly spirits, truth capricious as most nature spirits. All of the spirits in the picture are Mother Natures guardians.

A phoenix arising from the red flaming blossom. A sea horse. A sea nymph wearing a pearly comb in her long greenish-blonde hair. A raven sitting on the head of the phoenix. A squid, butterfly, and conch shell. cainse

Good eye! You are the only so far to spot the comb! Thank you for your encouraging review and for looking so closely at my work. :-)

The immediate striking component of this image are its colours..beautifully bright and alluring..There is a child-like appeal to this image. The face is lovely, hauntingly beautiful and seems to question - the rooster that flows into the heart-shape is intriguing..the Other shape I have difficulty to figure out....It is a very creative and original piece of work - a good illustration for a child's book. Nice work!!

Thank you, I appreciate your kind very much. The other shape is a small had of a horse, Pegasus perhaps. The 'Rooster' is a Phoenix. :-)
