This is such a nice collection of the things we harvest in the fall. I like the pumpkin, pear and apple , grapes and the sunshine yellow sunflower!
You have created them so well and I like your color variations making this your own rendition. I think the grass green background works perfectly and allows these fruits to come forward.
Well created, arranged and presented!

Very nice arrangement with fresh eye popping colors. The green background is a perfect foil for the different fruits.
Lovely contemporary painting Cleo, good luck for the contest.

Very colorful, and I like the style and technique you have used to creative this. The yellow flower is a perfect part of the still life and really brightens the group of fruits. It has uplifting and positive colors.
Very nice!

I had NO idea you could get textures like this digitally! It has so much depth, and looks like a painting on canvas! The colors are different, but have a light happy feel, and nice subtle color hues! Donkeyoatey

You can get anything digitally nova days, I even chose the canvas texture. With this one I did stick pretty much to the classical rules. The colors of fruit and flower are almost similar to the true colors of the fruit, maybe just a tint lighter. The real difference is the background. Spring green is usually not used as background for autumn colors. The usual would be earth colors according to the season. Spring in autumn is somewhat a surreal touch. I used it as contradiction in order to signify the connection of the seasons and the circle, or better the spiral of life, because the flowers and green of spring are born in the seeds of autumn, the fruit of the following autumn is born with the blossoms of spring....

I actually started out with a different background in mind, but then my muse send the green-idea into my head. It seems I just cannot stay with the usual. I was surprised myself how different those fruit look on green. I have something learned about the reception of color when we look at a picture and how important the background color is. Some viewers wrote that the fruit colors are unusual. Nobody so far realized that it is the background, not the fruit which is colored differently. Why is that?

I think you should move on to the traditional artwork, only if you like. I am sure your will be very good at. I like the rich texture and vibrant and warm very much. The objects are so well composed in color and shape balance. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you very much, Mino,
This is not traditionally painted. It is still a digital. Even when I paint in traditional style, use the kind of tools and colors I want to use and chose the texture of the canvas this canvas is still a mouse pad and the brushes are moved with my fingers on this pad. :-)

Colors chosen are bright and cheery. I would suggest more detailing for the grapes to give this painting a completed effect. In my opinion it looks unfinished, but I think I see what you're going for. Pretty!

Thank you. I appreciate your honest review and your input. Sorry to disappoint you, but the effect which looks unfinished to you is intentional. This is not a photo realistic rendering, but a contemporary painting. The impressionist touch and the usual coloring are intentional. The leaves, the pumpkin, the apple and especial the flower are even less defined than the grapes.
