I so envy you for having the talent to see something and paint it, that is something I tried but failed.
Cleo, this is a lovely rendition but I cannot make out that it is an angel at all...a doll perhaps, a tchotchke, surrounded by foil/glitter/pixellated diffused and unrecognizable segments.
The upload is fuzzy and you need to focus on the object and present it clearly or did you want this to be this fuzzy to add mood or confusion? Confusion is good, it stimulates some into looking deeper. Perhaps this is all about your artistic prerogative, so I bow to it.
There is an incongruity of "paint application" within this image. You can see oversharpening on eyes and dark background (it is almost like a salt and pepper scene) a breakdown or a pixellation of pixels.
I do love the warm honey tones and as colour affects all of us this one melts our hearts with warmth.

Thank you very much for your honest review. You are supposed to see that "pixellation". What you see as pixellation is actually a honny comb pattern. I needed a long time to create this.
This is a re-reviewed pice from 2013. I am not able to create anything new right now do to medical issues.
But anyway, that is exactly what I saw from outside the store window. The window was wet and the angel was placed behind some strucktured glass inside the window. I have no idea how the angel looked in reality. I never entered the store.

A nice, well composed piece with monochromatic brown tones throughout and small kaleidoscopic type shapes making up the piece as a whole. The angel herself has very soft focus but the features are still clear and in good proportion, showing a happy and warm expression amongst the effects that somehow work very well, inspired by you simply seeing the streetlight reflecting the rain in a shop window. It's amazing that this stuck with you, andc even more so that you have created a piece which represents that effect powerfully. It looks like this angel was your christmas angel this year, and this creative and unusual piece is a great piece of art, well done :)

Thank you very much for your honest review and your input. I did not intent to be realistic. I painted the reflection as it looked from outside the store window. I did not see anymore than you see. I do not know how the angel looked either. I never entered the store. :o)

I looks like it could be an oil painting. The twinkle in the glow really show through in your paining, as if looking at it through the rain.
