Interesting and lovely. The sparkles in the ripply glass are so very beautiful. This is just the kind of thing a real artist sees and captures for those of us who were less observant. cainse

Impact 5 creativity 5 technical 5 technique 5 color 5 lovely capture of the angel. Sounds like an awful lot of work to get the picture.

    Thank you very much!
It was work; but the most complicated was to find out how to get the rain/light effect, I needed only 35-40 hour to paint the angel

Beautiful work on this angel and the light effect from the work is just exquisite, feeling so cheery and warm. Really fine image, and very well composed in the frame. Great contest entry. A pleasure to view.

    Thank you very much.
It needed some experimenting to get those effects of looking through wet window glass.

Probably difficult to capture that which you felt and saw at that pries moment in time. It happens to me when i see a landscape or sky or something that looks glorious and then i try to take a pic of it .. and it is never the same or does it relate what i saw originally

So in saying that I am having problems seeing what you saw .. all the neutral colours even with gold seem uneventful but it has a pleasantness about this piece that i like but i would never have known it was an angel
upon taking a closer look of the larger piece ..i do like it ..i like the way you tried to capture the refracted light and make it sparkle â?¦ I probably should not have read your notes and just taken this for what it was .. because it is good

A general tip for reviewing. Reading the comments is always a good idea. Reviewing is a learning experience for both sides, the artist and the reviewer. In my opinion it is a great source of learning especial for the reviewer because she/he learn from those notes how a picture was done, how a special effect was archived and in many cases something about the subjects/objects shown in the picture . That includes the technical parameter of cameras settings as well as photo editing, mixed media procedures, painting techniques etc. It may includes the information about the subject, the name of a flower or an animal as well as the historic importance of a building for example.
A tip especial for paintings and mixed medias. Reading the notes is always good, because the minimized size we have to use at FAR dos not allow the same view as one has of a full sized painting on a wall. Excuse my worthy answer. You are free to discard it if you disagree, but I hope you will not.

This is beautiful. Wonderful image..Excellent post-production work of the original image. The watercolour effect gives it such mellow feeling. The colour harmony is excellent. Very good lighting as well...great highlights and shadows. A most beautiful Christmas angel.

Thank you. I appreciate your review very much!
[I did not use a watercolor effect. The picture is painted in oil. The water effect is from an applied filter called wet window]
