I find this to be a beautiful shot.
Good light, focus, framing could have been made a little off center but not bad. Like the sharpness, specially of the feathers on the hen. The size and direction of the chicks helps to show depth. Telling the story of a new generation under your feet, teaching and protecting is a full time job. The beautiful green grass from me does bring into question of the natural setting of this shot, I would expect to see chickens scratching in barnyard area or open field but the subjects are well photographed.

Thank you so very much for the review. First of all I would say that the hen is off centered, and then secondly, the grass is a natural setting for these birds. They are walking around free, and they don't belong to a farmer, but to people running a tavern in Greece.

Wonderfully lighted photograph
to show the fine detail in the feathers, big and small. :)
Very nice clarity in the shot and since the "mother" is with her chicks, you wonder if the story is something funny going on in the barnyard.

How funny and what a great entry for this contest. There's got to be a story behind this photo. Guess the ol hen decided to adopt the turkey chicks as her own. A nice sharp photo of them together showing the feather details on the hen and chicks very well. Cute photo and good luck in the contest.

She thinks they are hers, because the owner gave her turkey eggs to hatch. Just wonder, but did you mean yo give me 3 stars for this photo, or was it a mistake.
