I like it a lot. love the blue color. and the burgundy of the vine is pretty.

sort of reminds me of a humming bird in flight. the bloom that is. lol you could crop closer to the bllom and it might look less out of focus. even add a vignette.

Nicely composed with excellent dof. Your colors are vivid and well saturated. Good color harmony. Great point of focus with good dof and back ground blur to pop your main subject. Great lighting and exposure control.
Very good visual and initial impact. High technical excellence and very good technique.

Congrats!

This is a really good picture overall. One thing to try is increase the range of focus, I would have liked to see the buds just behind the flower less fuzzy.

That purple tip looks like a Christmas light Superb focus, giving clarity to the details like those hairy part and lines of the petals. Well captured .

Would need to see the leaf but think this may be one of the flax or Bugloss family. Like the viewpoint but would need to see the leaf and the number of petals for true id

Thanks so much, I appreciate your feedback. Will check the internet for the family of flowers you have suggested unfortunately didn't get clear shots of the leaves. :)

Sorry Mary no idea either but it is a beautiful flower and the buds hold their own interest. Good b/g and your main subject pops with colour and detail. The lighting has captured the flower well, although the buds are blurred their colours and spikes shine in the sun
Thanks for sharing

Thanks Julie - I was concentrating so hard on focusing the flower I forgot the buds it really is different. Another hot one Saturday and we were without power for about 15 hours this week glad it wasn't hot then. :) Mary
