This is a beautiful picture. wasnt sure if it was a painting at first. love the background colours on this blend in so well. Dont know if your interested but i think a reviewer by the name of Mara del Mar put a photo of this bird on a while ago. may be worth a look.

This duck looks real. I like his coloring, pretty. The background you gave it is nice and natural looking. Nice image, don't have a clue what kind it is. Nice photo and digital.

I think it is cute, and has a stylized look that would be perfect for a card, especially with father's day approaching. The depth is well done, with the reeds and cattails in the background supporting the depth, but not intruding. soft colors and emotional feel. Donkeyoatey

You see, as I've said your mixed media creations are FAR cuter and visually appealing than your traditional shots!
Sorry, I can't help you with its name as we don't have ducks here in the Philippines as wonderful as this one!
Look at his extra wing feathers, it creates that strong initial impact...grabbing the viewers' attention down to these aesthetic feature.
Excellent lighting, focusing & framing.
Thanks for sharing...

You have to remember that all my mixed media starts with a traditional shot, and I suppose you can't really compare this with a photo taken from a Greek village. Thank you so very much for the lovely review.

Nice work!
You do a lot of interesting and very different things to pictures. With the background you used makes it look like a painting and the duck is more like a photograph. I'm not sure but you may want to make the duck look more like a painting to, but I have no idea how or if you would even want to? Otherwise I think it looks good as is.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Willie. Of course I could also have given the duck a more painterly look, but did not really want to. I was thinking that if I can edit my flower shots this way, why not a duck. LOL

I am so bored of images of ducks.... so this interpretation comes as a breath of fresh air. It looks very much like a painting. I marvel at the way that you blend real photography with those amazing backgrounds in a way that looks so natural. All to often composites look as though the elements have been stuck on. Simply beautiful work Annie.
