Cherry blossoms are definitely a sign of spring. The focal point of the central bloom is stunning. The diagonal branch of blooms fills the scene with great beauty. The background is great contrast to the blossoms.

Simply beautiful! Love all the different shades of pink looking lovely with the great background colors. The stamens in the center of the flower are so sharp and look great against the soft, delicate blossoms. A beautiful and artistic composition!

Love the intensity of the pink cherry blossoms against the blue/green background. The large flower actually looks as if it's backlighted. I think that gives a nice glowing look to the flower. Love the way the branch goes through the shot and the various posistions of the flowers. They look SO natural Your painting SOooo makes my heart want to SEE Spring!

Good Luck in the Flower Contest! :o) Helvi

That is why I painted it. My heart is longing for spring as well. Thank you so much for your review. I tried to gave the blossom the back light view. I am so happy it came pout.

Nice entry for the contest. Love the light pink color, almost iridescent. Composition very good too. Good luck in the contest.

This is so beautiful, I was certain it was a watercolor, what a surprise to see this is a digital painting, unless it came from a photograph, it is so beautifully detailed, well composed, soft and lovely!

Thank you very much for your favorable review and your exceptional rating.
I painted the photo after a pencil scratches I had done on paper. A similar photo does not exist, but I used about a dozen of my own photos as reference for the different opening stages of the blossoms and their realistic coloring. The background is imaginative.

Excellent! I really like that they are place diagonally in the frame, the pastel colours and fine detail is excellent. Excellent art work, well done and good luck!

Nice work. Not sure it conveys that Spring is springing, but maybe that's a different story. Good composition and color. Detail looks good. Well done.

Thank you very much! I appreciate your review and your input on the title. Why not springing? Did I make a language mistake? Those are cherry blossoms, which bloom only in spring.

I was just joking a little. We've had a rough winter here and Spring seems so far away right now. I always use that expression...Spring is Springing. Can't wait.
