Thanks Mary another place I haven't been for a long time. Love the natural Blackboys and what the wind has done to the gums. Good detail and lighting. Well positioned in the frame

A fine crisp capture with perfect dept and admirable natural color. The capture of the Black Boys is perfect. I just wished the Gum trees Would be entirely in the picture. Apparently one picture is to small to get it all. A panorama would be ideal. If you have an editing program it would make an exquisite picture, if you take two pictures and stitch them to as panorama.

Great and unusual photograph, very good interest capture. Good colours and clarity, not only in the trees but in the ground showing the rocks, Nicely framed.

Very unique photo and can see it has a quite a conversation piece especially in a school setting or learning setting.

This is a great compostion, I like how the gum trees are not fully in frame, nice POV. Clarity and focus is great, though due to the black boys being a little shaded they lose that overall focal attention, just need that extra pop. Love these leaning trees, we have them here where I live in W.A. Can't say I always enjoy the wind tho :) Great work

Amazing image...there are so many contradicting elements in this which give life and movement to the image. The bent trees on the right in contrast to the round straight outlines of the ' bushy ' tree..surrounded by the pebbled surface. The vertical lines reaching for the sky again follow a different direction from the rest. A most intriguing shot.

I am so liking the gum trees, I can take just about a million images of those, in all different lighting situations, even attempt a night time shot, well done the way it is

This looks like it could have been the inspiration for a Dr. Seuss book. Amazing to see the different silhouettes. I like the composition. For me the lighting is too harsh here though. We almost need a touch of HDR to bring the colors out and get rid of the dark shadows.

Thanks Cassandra I have played with HDR and reloaded - would you have another look for me I would appreciate your opinion on the upload.

I think it looks ten times better. Brings out the textures in the grasses. Good work.

I'd like to view both interesting subjects with strong initial impact.
Overcast skyline render some soft shadows on the foreground.
How I'd wish you had included the tips of the gum trees.
Subdued lighting.
Sharp focusing.
Good framing.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dick, knew that would be one of the comments but at the time I was focused on getting the grass trees wasn't until I uploaded to computer I realised how great the gum trees were :( thought about cropping them out but thought I would leave them for comparison. Do you think it would be better cropping them out altogher and not worrying about the wind impact? Appreciate your views.

If only the grass trees are bright enough to stand on their own but its too shady...
The gum trees are more interesting, I suppose.
