I think that it makes an excellent 'still life'! The color harmony is terrific as well as each subject that you placed here in the Art Piece. The photo has great sharpness, clarity, lighting, creativity, imagination, bg and all in the perfect frame. Terrific job and a terrific entry for this contest. Love the low key style ambient lighting, the placement of all the items sitting atop the Breacan/ Tartan Shawl. The lit candles adds to the mood of this and offers a nice reflective glow on the decanter.
I am Sure Sir "N" was pleased with this capture in tribute to his heritage.
As usual it is your use of natural light that draws me in.

I know nothing about scotland and I have no clue what some of those objects are but all I can say is that this is a visually pleasing capture of a nice assortment of things rendering a nice overall composition...thanks for sharing
