Love it! reminds me of the story of Mrs Puddle Duck. That came to mind straight away. They look like they are in a flap about something and consultation the wise old owl. beautifully done as always and great story telling. sandy

Thank you ever so much, the story line behind this one was Ollie going around gathering information about other birds to document down and coming across some rather unhelpful characters. I can't remember if the ducks were helpful or not in the end. I still need to post all the illustrations for these books.... one day!

Great illustration for the children's book. I love all the bright colours you use and the detail in the birds' faces.
I like the surrounding landscape with the lake in the background, the tree with the hole and the plants. Very nice composition. Suzanne

Beautiful artwork..super colours that would be most attractive to children...love the grouping of happy ducks and the grumpy Owl on the outside of the friendly group...great composition and framing.

A fantastic child like image, interesting in composition and ambiance , lots going on in this story - would love to read the text belonging to this site, for me it feels like the owl was teaching something that provokes a huge discussion amongst the adult listeners and kind like sceptical reaction as the kids - their environment is created with love for nature and every tiny subjects sits at the perfect space - the bird in the tree also listened and thinks now - the lake is the sign of change and after all they can jump into the waters to have fun and to clear their minds, Loll

Thank you so much, I will add a little text to the next one. This particular story isabout a wise owl who is going around discovering all the different bird variety's out there for his bird book. Some characters are more helpful than others. So pleased you enjoyed it
