What a great photo! The reflection of the bird in the water is excellent! The only thing missing is the lighter colors, but who cares? You were fortunate for the water to be so calm. This photo is excellent in every way!

Of course this had to be for a contest, and I think it is a very good entry as well. The reflection from the bird is just perfect. The lake for sure was calm when this photo was taken, and acted as a perfect mirror. I like the dark grey tones as well, and both the bird itself and the reflection are standing out in the most excellent way.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in the feathers, and the exposure is perfect. I also like a lot the limited color pallet.

The cropping is neatly done, and the bird is nicely placed off to the right. A really well taken photo Willie, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
