This is a very nice photo, but just a touch too dark for my liking. The composition is done very well with the placement of the images, would like to see the sky maybe a touch lighter. thanks for sharing. Good notes.

I can see that a lot of work has gone into this clever editing, creating a unique and enjoyable image that is packed with drama and atmosphere. For me, it tells a story of a couple breaking up - he is about to walk away and she is wishing on the star with all her heart that he won't go. Let's hope for a happy ending - I always like one of those!

You are the only one who has seen that there may not be an happy ending. Although I like the happy endings myself they are not always possible. Sometimes the one who walks away has no choice of his own. This piece has a personal history which seems to have the mood twisted. I did this while my husband was suffering at the hospital shortly before his death. I was just not able to post it earlier because now I have only our star left.

Oh Cleo that is so very moving. I picked up a melancholy feel to the piece. You will always have your star - and your memories. No one can take them from you. Big hug. Chrissie.

There is nothing wrong with my computer screen, so I will say this picture is way too dark. I think if it were lighter, you'd have a winner.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your kind review and your input. I know its very dark and expected this kind of reaction from the audience. I am maybe wrong with my concept, but I do need the darkness for my story, I invented it. I need the feel of a tropical night when the light comes only from the sky [no artificial like lanterns]. A night when, account to temperament some people see wonder; but others see ghosts or monsters in the shadows of the trees. [All photos used were daylight photos].

An appealing shot with excellent night colors and a story to tell. I like the use of "find edges" filter to make the girl stand out. A hauntingly beautiful shot.

Wow what a complicated process with all these different steps you followed, your result is beautiful and of course I made a wish - beautiful night sky and composition with this girl making the own wish - super perspective and interesting how kind like white birds are flying close to the people - may be also fairies around to accomplish the wishes - amazing work into deepness of the soul , thanks for sharing

Really nice shot. Composition and color just great. The fore/background perspective just right. Don't quite get what the white forms to the right of the figure are. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Love the concept and the romanticism of the scene. In Cuba I used to see nights like this, cuajadas de estrellas. Sometimes, watching the sky until late I do not felt dream, and the smell of the jasmine was a delightful. Love the silhouettes standing at night, and the silvery sparkles in the leaves. He seems wait a answer, or simply, look as she contemplates the starry sky, maybe is asking her desire to the brilliant star. Great job with the layers, like good quality and beauty of the image. Well done

Yes Mara, that is exact what it is. Cuajadas de estrellas. I saw them at the Yucatan, just across the Mare Caribe .
Thank you so much for your kind review.
