Love the way the cattails are blowing in the wind and the egret is taking off in that direction. Composition is great with sharp focus.

I have just finished reviewing your photo, when suddenly another turns up. It is a lovely photo of the Egret in flight, but just on the boarder line for this contest since the center of interest, the bird, is actually white. It must have been a windy day, and I like to see the motion in the cattails.
Your photo is as always nice and sharp showing very nice details in the bird, and I can easily see the touch of green at the base of the bill. The exposure is very good as well.
The cropping is very good, and the bird has been given room to fly into. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. It is a well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! I have never won this contest. I have tried everything I could think of. All the shots of green I was picking through just did not do much for me. I just shot this last week and I like it so since there is more green than white?? Lol! I hope the judges see it that way! Thanks again!

You are most welcome Willie. I have also entered this contest a few times, but with no luck. I don't know how the committee is thinking, but I do believe they want the center of interest to be green. But, you never know.
