At least you wont regret to have made it. I think it would have done well at the contest. It is unusual and triggers the imagination of the viewer. Somehow I get the feel to looking at a szene someone had painted on the wall of a cave while Cast Away. if I turn I will see the real landscape but nobody else will be there.

No I don't regret it at all. I very often make 2 or even more entries for the same contest. It is a lot of work, but I don't always know beforehand what will work best. Good practice as well.

The water, the cave and the cracked paint somehow do not come together for me. I would have so liked the scene better without the paint. I love the scene looking out of the cave into the well lit water. Focus is good and has good depth. Showing textures of walls and stones. Good initial impact and would make a good scene for a story. Nice framing and positioning.

Itīs a very evocative image and the image of coming out of darkness into light is quite powerful! Rich, strong colors yet muted. Great story telling ability and initial impact. The lighting is very good! Really like the image.
