WOW!Spectacular! Or is it spooktacular? Coloration, contrast and shadow detail are perfect as is sharpness.Somebody once said we're always five feet from a spider. Thanks for the scientific explanation.

Very interesting notes. Equally interesting shot! Great looking shot!. Fine example of nature photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the moment in such a close-up very well.
Well done!

It was a lot of information in your notes, and most of it I had not even heard about. This spider indeed looks big and hairy, and it was good to hear that some male spiders actually survive the act of love. LOL That is if you can call it love when it comes to spiders.

Your photo is nice and sharp with very good details in the hairy body of the spider, and the exposure is perfect.

I think the tight cropping works well here, and the spider is well placed within the frame. A really well taken macro shot, and with a very good DOF.

Great grab just at the right time.
Cropping great
Colours are brilliant and the green helps accentuate the textures of the spider.

Wow! This one gave me chills. You captured such a great, clear and finely detailed picture. The story is so informative. Never seen a spider like this. Is it big? Very well done!

Clarity is good in the considerably difficult macro shot. We have even see the texture and ridges in the egg-sack. Artist notes are fascinating (better than watching the wild animal planet on TV - LOL). Colors, lighting, focus, frame and presentation all well executed to bring us this in-sight into a world often never seen. Kathy

Wow! what an interesting photo and notes about it. This momma spider is certainly protecting that ball of eggs with her whole body. This is an amazing photo Fred and so sharp. Excellent macro shot showing all the tiny detail of this spider and her ball of eggs. Well done and thanks for sharing this one.
