what are you doing stealing our noisy lorikeet. I feed this noisy creatures in my backyard. They have their pecking order and they fight and squabble amongst themselves. I could have up to 50 and you can't hear yourself think. A lovely capture and I glad you enjoyed their antics. sandy

I like your leaning tower best. What a fun and cute shot. The background works, good sharp focus, frame and exposure to show the very colorful details.

Another very nice shot. I think you did an excellent job capturing the textures of the feathers. You were able to take the photo in a way that the face of the bird seems to have a great expression. Beautiful photo.

Comment from Life is but a dream.

The initial visual impact is first class. That red against the green throws this piece off the charts. You do know that red and green are contrasting colours on the colour wheel and support each other.

Before I get rambling I have to tell you what I really like about this Eileen. I like the fact you kept the background in. So many photographers remove the background and place the subject against a plain background devoid of colour, which does work well but I have learned something from you today. It is because of the background that makes this image ever more interesting. Is it a cage (?) is it an area outside and you are in a cage, or is that a feeder behind him...one doesn't know but it adds and incredible amount of interest to the shot. The fact that it's blurred out helps to pop out the bird which incidentally is pin sharp and cute as a button...and I can hear him and see him swaying from side to side, bubbling with the joy of life. How happy he must have made you this day and what a supremely handsome fellow.

I wish I could give you some constructive criticism (which I just know you are hungering for) but I can't. This is rock solid, something that we expect from your images. The Lorikeet stands out in vibrant, well saturated shades, that eyeball just ties the whole package together.

Truly this is outstanding photographic art....IMHO and the title is the icing on a very well baked cake.

Incidentally, I don't know if I've ever told you this, but in gallery showings oftentimes it is the title of an image that will help sell the art....so titles do matter.

Simply lovely, and I am still smiling and for that you get a bucketful of stars. So well deserved.

Olga, I totally love your review. not because of the great rating which I of course love, but the way you see things is enlightening and witty. Thank you so very much!
