Well. There won't be any debate on whether there is "enough" yellow in this contest entry! LOL

Fantastic sharp edges and great bright colors!

The butter flys really add interest to the picture and keep the eyes moving all around the image.

Best wishes in the contest!

Love the way that the light illuminates from the back and the light is shinning on the front. Nice contrast between the black and yellow of the butterflies. The brown center of the sunflower is in nice harmony with the petals. The top petals have good detail where as the bottom are washed out. Like the mirror image of the butterflies.

Great composition of the flower surrounded by butterflies. Excellent colours and details, great clarity in the flower and bugtterflies. Well framed in black.

Extremely visually stunning piece. Terrific concept and execution. You really made the various elements Pop where needed and softened where need be. Great composition.Wonderful use of light and shadow. An overall stunning work.

This is very pretty. Love the bright yellows against the dark background. Love the monarchs as well. We go to Pacific Grove CA a lot. The monarchs come there every winter and gather before heading off to Monterrey Mexico for the winter. Then they return in the spring. Thanks for sharing

Mixed Media can be so beautiful and you did a great job here. I love how you did this. I do wonder, it appears to be a liquid reflection below, if that is the case then that bottom butterfly looks like its about to have a hard crash. Just my opinion. However a real good job, well done.

Monarch Magic. I like the feeling of this and the relationship of the yellow and black monarchs to the daisy (I think it is a daisy and not a small sunflower but could be mistaken) as well the the muted yellow petals as if floating in air about a hint of a pond (?) and then the black DOF that gives the entire picture a POP. The size of the monarchs in relationship to the flower on one hand does not look realistic but then my guess is that might be intentional to give this an ethereal magical relationship . Excellent if not off the charts superb skills.

Suggestive! I like the flower in the middle and the butterflies almost making spirals to the center, guiding the view to the main subject. Same with the tones, darker on the edges and becoming pale toward the middle.
Good contrast and sharpness.
Good lighting and a well exposed frame.

How absolutely stunning. I know your work by just viewing it. This is a great entry and you deserve to be on top. Love the yellow domination of the photo, the butterflies, blurred petals in the background. Will be shocked if you don't win this one. Thanks for sharing a little yellow sunshine and good luck in the contest.
