Love your notes. I didn't know that! She is pretty and would have made a great entry into the Blue contest or Patterns that Repeat contest...never mind.
It's a great photograph, sharp and I love how the background seems to mimic the sails in patterns. You have composed it solidly onto a horizontal frame. It's rich in colour saturation and the French flag pops.
Nice too that you included that iddy biddy sailboat for comparison and we get a sense of her grandeur with your presentation.
I wonder why ships are called "she"?

A beautiful tall ship with a few of her sails set as she leaves the bay. Interesting history of this ship and she has certainly logged the miles. Good photo Fred with a pretty background of Cannes and the bright blue water of the bay. Thanks for the view.
